Top 3 Chelsea Boots

Dating back to the Victorian times and originally designed for Queen Victoria by her boot maker J. Sparkes-Hall; the Chelsea Boot was created for functional purposes: an elastic sided boot that could be slipped on and off with minimal effort.  The trend quickly caught on with the boots being used by horse riders and further for other activities requiring functional and practical footwear. Hoarding


After giving my bedroom a huge clear out, it became apparent... I am a hoarder. Holding on to old school books (from when I couldn't even spell my own name), old shoe boxes, old clothes; basically the recurring descriptive word being old! I hope I'm not alone with the mentality that these items will come in handy again at some point, or hold some sort of sentimental value. However, one thing that has proved to come in handy once again, and that I have always held onto dearly throughout my life is clothing tags and labels. All of the excessive superfluous paper, plastic and printed bits that come with a garment, is something I (weirdly) love. As I am massively into graphic design, I find the innovative ways a brand/designer accessorises the garment with branding and marketing so interesting. I discovered 3 large bags full of clothing tags; which, on the most part, was pretty shameful when I consider how much I must have cumulatively spent over the years... but I also discovered, I couldn't bring myself to part with them. In turn, I decided to find something productive to do with all of these tags, so I put together the pictured collage and got it framed, and I am really pleased with how it looks...
